It's worse if that and the magazine are your primary sources of music. They'll never explore that way. I remember seeing PT and Opeth on Scuzz once, but i don't think I'll ever get that luxury ever again. It's also 40% adverts

Too many of them to have a universal song to get to no.1 right now.

The stereotypes of metal really don't help, along with metalcore hardcore fans setting a really bad example. If anything, I think it's the stereotypes and the rise of EDM that is causing the mainstream rejection of metal

Metal just isn't selling like it used to, which is sad. I don't even think the new slipknot or metrallica album will go platinum. Or even tool.

Only way the Slipknot album will break even is if all the now-adult teenagers of the late-90s come out of the woodworks and listen for the sake of nostalgia.

^^^About slipknot, I think they're slowly dying as a band, too bad ALIG was their last...

Still love S/T and Vol. 3 to bits. Been thinking of doing a monstrous 5.0 review of the latter sometime soon. Reading Corey Taylor's book in preparation.

They're cool, just a bit too inconsistent. Will listen to whatever they release though.

yeah, I agree with slipknot dying. Everyone has different projects and all of them have different views for the band and it's also much harder since the bassist died...
