The vocals everywhere are fantastic (love Danny's vocals on Sunlight as well), but the layers and harmonies on Gathering are just so refreshing and soooooo daaaaaaamn gooooood.

Yep pretty much. Possibly the best Anathema song for me. Can't even describe what I felt when that song properly clicked.

At this point I feel that this is just as good as We're Here, both have the same amount of cheesy lyrics, as well as high points. Judgement will always be best.

Great review; very true words about this album being formulaic. Every song is basically a buildup with just one or two exeptions. Very disappointing release after "We're Here Because..."
