"Solitude is basically an extended interlude"
No, it's an entire song sorry. It's also an album highlight... probably my 3rd fave on the entire album...

Solitude is an instrumental, and I recall it being a good one.
Fluff might be my fave Sabbath instrumental tho.

If solitude is your 2nd fave song, you proved my point about the album, and no it is not like Planet Caravan, a descent song, but still filler leading up to VOid, The album seemed rushed to me, a few great songs, with some radio friendly short songs mixed in, about 3/4 of an album, a couple more days a waiting and writing and there might of been a couple of more serious songs on the album.

"Solitude is an instrumental"
No, it has lyrics... plenty of them. "My name it means nothing..." etc. etc.
Has no one in this current converstion actually listened to this album except for me and Nero?

I have listened to the album 50-60 times, sweet leaf, children, after, are not among their best, maybe Children, Ozzy's fave at least, the album has 2 great songs, Into and Lord, I never said Solitude was an instrumental, just that is was filler, some other idiot thought it was an instrumental.

Fair enough, but I disagree with almost everything you just said...
Lord of This World is my favorite from the album, but I also really love Sweet Leaf and After Forever (which gets way to much shit) and Solitude is also really underrated and I always saw it has a really successful attempt at deviating from their typical sound.
Children of the Grave is pretty great too, but not one of my favorites. And I love Into the Void, but oh my god is it one of the most overrated songs in Sabbath's entire catalogue, I mean it's great, but it wouldn't probably even make my top 20 Sabbath songs... maybe it would make my top 30.

(not counting the 2 actual interludes) Children is easily my least favorite... it's enjoyable but kind of corny. Especially the way he whispers "Children...of the graaaave"
