Still the only Thrice I've ever jammed in full. Sad because I remember jamming this when it first came out. Little 11 year old Hawks was blown away lmao.

I'd highly recommend checking out Vheissu and possibly the Alchemy Indexes. They really became a completely different band after this album.

Hands down best Thrice. It's all downhill from here

Absolutely loved this album as a teen and it still is a good jam from time to time

"Hands down best Thrice. It's all downhill from here"
Except for their best album being literally next in line

Tbf I do have some fond memories with Vheissu, or however it's spelled. Still love tracks like Atlantic and Red Sky, but I remember the post hardcore stuff not holding up well

For Miles absolutely holds up. Best song on that album imo.

ye vheissu is great but i do prefer this and illusion of safety. i liked when they had a bit of edge. i should actually dig into stuff post vheissu which i never have for some reason!

The Illusion of Safery is when they riffed the most imo. Jammed that album so many times on the guitar as a kid. Every song has its own flavor.

Futures: Beyond Vheissu there isn't much I've enjoyed. You might love the Alchemy Indexes. I did at a time, but when I played them like 5 years ago I was bored to shit. I might revisit some tho since it's been like like 10 years since I heard some of them

Personally I think Beggars is easily their best post-Vheissu album

I distinctly remember not liking the production on that and thinking it didn't rly have any great tracks outside of Exile.
Also yeah Illusion of Safety is also great. That and this one are my favourites
