cause dark ambient is relatively easy and their fans will gobble it up like a load of eco friendly cock juice?

dark ambient is just keyboards and synths though ZzZzZzZzzzzz. If they mixed ambient sections with those long blast-beat sections, a la Two Hunters but with more ambient, then it might be good. Otherwise eh...

i meditated to this outside when my power was out earlier this week.

acually my best friend meditates to Wolves also. something about chakra clearing and channeling his spirit animal, I don't know. but it's sure cheaper than smoking pot.

you friend sounds like having a conversation with him probably sucks

*shrug* whatever works I guess. unlike some new agers he doesn't try to push his "views" onto anyone else. I enjoy a good dose of Two Hunters driving on lonely highways at night, though easy not to notice that you've accelerated to 95 mph during the middle of Vastness and Sorrow.

^WITTR isn't music that i could see myself driving fast to.
actually, now that i think about it it, this has probably topped Two Hunters for me. i seriously love both albums, and aesthetically, yeah, they're very similar. but i dunno. this one just resonates slightly better with me.

Two Hunters has more staying power for me, even though the backbeat snare used throughout it irks me a bit. I agree with the main review that the four middle songs don't have much flow to them, but the bookends are fantastic. I wouldn't mind hearing more like this if they release another album.

I hope they never release anything as choppy and directionless as this again :-P

Two Hunters destroys everything. That's like comparing AC/DC's Highway to Hell to Black Ice.

I know I get crapped on for saying this but I still think Two Hunters is one of the best American bm albums to ever grace my ears.

What other contenders are there from this country? Weakling, Leviathan, Agalloch(?), Fauna, Panopticon? Outside of the Cascadian scene (which most people seem to hate) there's not really that much stuff that's agreed upon as being super good, as far as I know.

this is good but it's sort of an overlong Two Hunters
i actually really like the interlude-ish type stuff, really gives this album an enveloping environment-type feel
i think it might actually be the last two, more typically bm tracks that stretch it on for me

i'm sorry that i used a music commenting forum to comment about music instead of spewing hateful and stupid invective about the supposed moral character of mainstream pop artists

You shouldn't call women "sluts" because that's bad and demoralizing and misogynist and shit yo. It's
enough to just say that she's an awful "artist" and an arrogant, self-important idiot dumbface.

But She Deserves It protests andcas, the almost-certain future spouse abuser
|

no but your hateful misogyny and constant self-validation of such does remind me of such behaviors, yeah
|
| |
i even seem to remember andcas victim-blaming rihanna for re-connecting with chris brown and probably calling her a slut too for the same reason. ah, andcas
