Need to get back on the Dimmu jams. Excellent record

One of the best bands ever. Pretty sure they have a new album coming in the near future. Past 2 albums blow, but I'll still be hype to hear new stuff lol.

Abrahadabra was killer. My defense of it is almost automatic

abrahadabra was way better than in sorte at least, that album had like no moments at all
still, waiting for new OMC more than new dimmu rn

In Sorte friggin crushes Abrahadabra in every way lol. But yeah, I'm also hoping for a new OMC album hard.

Yeah holy shit I couldn't disagree more. In Sorte has some gnarly shit. I don't get how THERE WILL BE NO FUCKING REST isn't a moment.
I will say that live performance of Gateways with the orchestra goes soooooo hard, though.

Yeah in sorte > abrahadabra and it's not really close

Album Rating: 4.9
Agreed. Past 2 albums both suck, but Abrahadabra is their worst by a wide margin for me.

In Sorte is actually my 2nd fav Dimmu and the hate is not justified at all musically wise.

I wouldn't argue it.

Mourning Palace best song ever

Agreed.

mourning palace has those retro metal vibes, a modern metal band would never record a song like that
that said I really couldn't find anything that would grip my attention with in sorte, except maybe "the conspiracy unravels", that is one well written song with a nice climax. the final tracks are entirely forgettable tho

In Sorte isn't anything unique, just banger riffs and some awesome keyboard work.

Album Rating: 4.0
yeah that's the point, there are like no memorable melodies there unlike this or puritanical
that's why I like abrahadabra better, it's not heavy but at least it's got hooks
