" Do you look for great drum solos on house albums" Yes that is the whole point of house music. Otherwise what is the point.

Your personal interpretation of what's good you mean.
This album was groundbreaking and influenced post punk heavily, it's odd and fun and rejects the previous blues structures while also taking a nod to them. I have it 4'd because some of the tracks are a little boring, but most of this is exciting and unique and thrilling like a rollercoaster.
I mean there's a reason why David Lynch claims this to be his favorite album of all time.

Well if you can understand that house music isn't built around drum solos, why can't you understand that this isn't built around having hooks and sensuality but instead raw craziness?

are we gonna start demanding other people always state that their opinion is an opinion, on a website dedicated to opinions? pls don't
influencing people means nothing, david lynch has a shitty taste in music

"This album was groundbreaking and influenced post punk heavily," No it didn't. The Beatles created post-punk.

No, of course not, but if you're going to act like your opinion is a fact I might ask you to

Lynch legitimately said this was his favorite album.
Here's a recording of Lynch reciting "Pena": https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8pM7wvdDQuY

This album's the kind of album you have to listen to multiple times anyway, not even to get you to like it, but for your brain to make sense of it
First time I heard it all I could do was laugh my ass off the entire time at the craziness (which a good, non-ironic laugh that this gave me was enough for me to like it,) but by like the 4th listen, it all started to seems structurally well put together
Plus, I like the silly sounds on it. :D

"This album's the kind of album you have to listen to multiple times anyway, not even to get you to like it, but for your brain to make sense of it" But my brain has already confirmed its bad though. Seems like a waste of time to keep re listening to something I "don't understand."

I hate saying "you don't get it" to people, because how could I possibly know if someone doesn't get it, but honestly... for this album, one listen really isn't enough, since it's so different from what people are expecting from rock and the blues

"t's so different from what people are expecting from rock and the blues". How though?
