It’s hilarious that the Pitchfork writeup for this in the 2003-was-it? year end list is just like [WRITING HAS BEEN REMOVED] because Chris ott threatened litigation once they got bought by the conde boys

indie rock was crazy yah
apparently the strokes came up playing the bar I went to a lot when I lived in Brooklyn and even before that (had my 21st birthday there). Wish I could have shmoozed with the NYC kids when they were playing to like 45 wasted 20somethings. guess that would have been more ‘98-‘01. I guess partying with patti smith and Tom Verlaine or whatever would have been cool too. Thanks for listening to another robertsona ramble about the goings-on of the big apple

I'd love to hear many big apple ramblings tbh. Lol I went to New York a little over a month ago and it was crazy to experience it for a couple days.

I wanna say I was in Bushwick, Brooklyn is pretty cool, even though I didn't save up enough for my trip to really do too much
there's always next time though

Yah yah gotcha. My sister moved into Bushwick in maybe 2012 so it’s the area I’m most familiar with
