I get this album - like, on principle. And I admire it in that regard. It just doesn't quite work for me in the way I feel like it does for others. It's still great, though, hence the rating.

even though this year as a whole has been much better than last, idk if i'll end up having that many 5s for this year once it's over... unless these last couple months can spawn at least 2 albums that i deem 5worthy.

There's a couple of albums coming out that could potentially be a 5. Opeth could potentially be a 5. (Or it'll be their worst album to date, who knows.) And if the 2 songs off the Trophy Scars EP coming out next week are any indication of the whole thing, that could be a 5 too. The Weeknd has 2 more releases coming out this year too, and there's plenty of untapped potential there.
