I couldn’t legitimately put it over Salvation (yet) but it’s close enough. Top ten album of all time

No bump in almost a year... have to change that
Also just realized it's 20 year anniversary. They should celebrate that by doing a tour where they play the full album, right?!

Surprised there hasn’t been any Demo drunk posts recently.
And yes, absolutely yes (full European tour of course!)

They're doing a North America tour with Dark Tranquillity this year btw. DT and Persefone on the same tour is like a dream for me, and then they choose the wrong continent for it 😡

Ugh. I get it, but also that sucks considering where they both hail from. Idk if it’s logistically easier to tour two countries further from home, than a load of them closer in proximity (possibly is) but I guess it also depends on their label / promoters & etc. and where they think they can sell out the most venues

I think DT and Soen had planned this tour for a longer time (they're both co-headliners) and wanted a supporting act for it and just went with Persefone. I'm also pretty sure they toured EU before together (DT and Soen) so it makes sense they wanted NA this time. But yeah, it's unfortunate.
Hawks, I'm very curious what you'll think of the latest album. It's like the proggiest album I've ever heard, and I know your opinion of BTBAM very well lol

Ah, Soen. Yeah that makes sense. I didn’t realise they were third in line so to speak. Soen are definitely a draw. Probably a good opportunity for Persefone to be honest, so cool I guess.

I've heard the latest Soen and it's absolutely awful. Band has had a gigantic fall from grace.

Oh wow their latest album has a very low average. Only heard one song from them and it just wasn't my thing. It's a pretty odd choice for DT to tour with them, I guess it's probably because the bands likes each other and are both Swedish.

Bringing a Tool clone band with their latest album apparently being their worst along is definitely A Choice, but if I ever do go I hope it'll be Soen up last so I wouldn't have to wait for DT. Not sure if that would be the case, but I've no interest in Soen so... maybe the fact that someone pointed out they have more Spotify listeners than DT will help (if that's even an indication for anything lmao).

Yeah I’d have no interest in Soen either personally but I wasn’t aware of any ‘fall from grace’ because I’ve only heard one of their earlier albums

This albums a behmoth and a staple for prog death imo. However i still feel the band lives in this albums shadow a bit

Marskid is gonna crucify me for this but... yeah, unfortunately true. I still love Truth and Shin-Ken but the rest is just not the same. Even Aathma has grown off me quite a bit. Then again this album is impossible to match so maybe it's unfair to compare it lol
Zup Davey! Nice to see you here again

Truth Inside the Shades is a beast, too (not the awful bassless remaster), but this one just happened to be a titan.

I mean they definitely live in this album’s shadow but it’s hard not to (2). Shin Ken did take a while for me to warm up to but it does rule also. Truth is also v solid.

It's their second best album even if it's flawed, but it's flawed in a youthful, passionate and beautiful way
