Yeah I tried not to lean too hard into metalcore, but if I had to replace Jane and Chariot I’d probably say Hot Damn (i know ETID is typically considered metalcore too but i think Hot Damn is the closest they ever came to make just straight up hardcore) and actually you know what, I’m gonna replace that chariot record with Shape of Punk to Come. Insane oversight on my part

More of a fan of the punk hardcore stuff myself. Hardcore really transformed in the 90s with the normalization of crossover thrash and the rise of groove metal and the ubiquitous influence of hip hop. I think it altogether got worse.
