This whole djent thing has just gotten out of hand. I mean I still like some bands that do the 7-8 string low tuned thing, but it seems like every band is doing this now.

Ahh ok gotcha. I use 6 too. Played a few 7's and didn't really like it. But those were Schecters and I'm totally sucker for Ibanez

friggin sick. Yeah a PRS would be sick. My uncle has a Tremonti sig and its really nice. So are the 24's and the Akerfeldt sigs

yea it gets a tad repetitive, my buddy just showed me a tune from this new band and it sounded exactly like vildhjarta, etc
Meshuggah are the masters. Animals As Leaders and Cloudkicker do it amazingly and that's all the down-tunededness one really needs.

I love my guitar except I made the stupid decision to put EMGs in it (85 bridge 60 neck). I run it through a Line 6 Spider III head and cab. Also I have a Boss Noise Supressor. It's essential.

I like it. It is affordable (bought mine $600 brand new) and you can get really customizable tones. I tweak the presets. It's obviously not gonna be as great as a tube amp but for the money, it is the best way to go.
I plan to switch out my 60 for an 81. Do you have your 85 bridge and your 81 neck or vice versa? Just wondering.

81 in the bridge 85 neck, yea i agree about tube amps i thought my roland cube was great but once i got my blackstar i can never go back to solid states, well ofc for bedroom practice ss is the way to go
