Yeah, saw that on facebook. Sad indeed. They should end with this tour.

I doubt they will though since, let's face it, Priest has been on this just for the money since, at least, the start of the century

Sad news, but new record is shaping up pretty good, and even then it doesn't sound like anyone wants to hang it up yet. Rob loves performing and recording, you can hear it when he does interviews and stuff and Richie is a great fit for them

Faulkner is quite an average guitarist tbqh. Just your typical shredder. And the last album did little to convince me of his skills as a songwriter.

At this point, I think they probably just want a guy who can play their entire catalogue faithfully

I agree that Faulkner isn't a great songwriter (Redeemer was a good, but not great, record), but he plays their old stuff with fantastic precision and I like seeing the band give him a real place among them, unlike, say Slayer, where they wouldn't even give Gary Holt, a proven songwriter and thrash veteran, a chance to write anything

Shit they are playing Minneapolis in early April I need to go hard. If you've never seen Priest live, do it, now.

Seen 'em twice, but they're not coming to Montreal this time around. Ah well, they were really good when I saw them on the Redeemer tour, Rob in particular was on fire

I saw them in 09, it was a tour when they were playing British Steel in its entirety

That's sweet, I would have loved to hear You Don't Have to Be Old, The Rage or Steeler live, and with K.K.
