I've been listening to F#A# quite a bit recently. Is this in the same vein? As in, very atmospheric and dark. I don't really like Maybeshewill/Sigur Ros style Post-Rock or w/e you wanna call it.

This is about a million times less accessible than F#A# but also better. Its atmosphere is similar but it's way more ambitious and... just, huge.

I'm going on a 3 day expedition in late June. This might be a good sountrack to it.



I love the small little lead guitar bits that are scattered around F#A# and they somehow manage to make them sound fantastic whereas any other band would sound dull if they'd used them.

it's not as dark, for sure. if you want more darker atmosphere from godspeed, the slow riot EP is more up your alley. :]
