I'd say Fotress sounds more like Steve Vai stuck in a supermarket Muzak soundtrack more than anything else. What a tedious, boring, lifeless, wannabe emo piece of crap album that was.

Had depth to it, and a lot of energy. Some amazing tracks on that album.

I disagree with you John. Perhaps I just enjoy the more 'fun' stuff. This album just did nothing for me... on my fourth spin now.

I wouldn't say Fortress was just a fun record, it was also a very technically proficient and awesome record with some fucking GREAT lyrics! I love those lyrics. I liked the concept, the vocalist is awesome, it's just one of my favorite albums in the past few years.

Over rated. Colors was great. Fortress is pretty damn good, this is just far too bland.
