These guys are assumed to be a Christian band because of being carried in Christian music stores, and expressing faith and Bible characters in their lyrics. However, I read an interview recently where they talk more about it. Some members may be Christians, but some of them come from an Islamic background, and in the interview, it seemed that they weren't really settled on what faith they held or claimed to be a part of...
I don't let religion automatically give me a bias towards music. The only intention of posting this comment is to point out that the reviewer's statements about their faith may not be completely accurate.

Well Aaron has said that they aren't/don't want to be referred to as a Christian band, I'm pretty sure.

Really, Islamic huh? Maybe that explains that Allah, Allah, Allah song they do.
In everywhere we look (x6)
Allah, Allah, Allah
In everywhere we look
In everyone we meet (x6)
Allah, Allah, Allah
In everyone we meet
In every blade of grass (x6)
Allah, Allah, Allah
In every blade of grass

John, Allah is simply the word "God" in Arabic.
The Weiss brothers were raised in a Sufi Muslim home; their mother converted from Catholicism, their father from Judaism. So basically, they were heavily influenced by all the Abrahamic religions (Christianity, Judaism, Islam).
There are plenty of interviews on YouTube/online in which they talk about their religious ideas.

I'm not suggesting they're an Islamic band, was just poking fun at ginandjesus. 'Allah' seems inextricably linked to Islam, though - regardless of its literal meaning. The whole 'Allah is the one God' thing alone puts it in the position of a name.

True, but Arabic Christians call God "Allah"

Hell if I know what that new event they posted is, but I already bought tickets.

i highly doubt it will happen, but it would practically make 2011 the best year ever if these guys record a new album.
