Go alexander, teach to those ignorants the deception that is "the beatles"
|

God damnit I will say I remember being baited by that same quote before. I think I hate it most cuz it’s a summary of all the shitty angles anti-Beatles bois try to come from.
Only fiery for righteous causes.

Nah mate, this is the one I used the other time, the classic:
The fact that so many books still name the Beatles as "the greatest or most significant or most influential" rock band ever only tells you how far rock music still is from becoming a serious art. Jazz critics have long recognized that the greatest jazz musicians of all times are Duke Ellington and John Coltrane, who were not the most famous or richest or best sellers of their times, let alone of all times. Classical critics rank the highly controversial Beethoven over classical musicians who were highly popular in courts around Europe. Rock critics are still blinded by commercial success. The Beatles sold more than anyone else (not true, by the way), therefore they must have been the greatest. Jazz critics grow up listening to a lot of jazz music of the past, classical critics grow up listening to a lot of classical music of the past. Rock critics are often totally ignorant of the rock music of the past, they barely know the best sellers. No wonder they will think that the Beatles did anything worthy of being saved.

I think I added a couple of paragraphs more but eh.
Though, is it really bait if I agree with most of it anyway?

The (not true, by the way) makes it.

See that’s my point, it doesn’t matter that you didn’t write it, you still need to gtfo.

@Egarran
That's my second favorite part, lmao. My favorite is: "Beatles' "Aryan" music removed any trace of black music from rock and roll. It replaced syncopated African rhythm with linear Western melody, and lusty negro attitudes with cute white-kid smiles." The (not true, by the way) is more useful though.

@nolerthebowler
Is a man not allowed to talk shit about albums he doesn't like? We truly live in a society
|
| |
you strictly shit on classics.
|
| |
(not true, by the way)
|
| |
Apparently you just have a tendency to like music I don't. You and a lot of people, tbh.
|
| |
yeah cuz everyone is wrong except you, tbh
Do you really think people are just brainwashed in liking bands like the Beatles and Radiohead?
|
| |
Also (not true, by the way).
|
| |
You guys don't even listen to the real classics, smh.
|
| |
Are you a doof alt
U also just assume that cuz I’m posting on a popular album that I don’t listen to the “real classics.” Maybe I just comment on popular albums that I like cuz I know I’ll have plenty of people to talk about the album?
|
| |
No. I'm me, Alexander, that's my name, even if it is too cool for me.

Yes he is. And we are allowed to critique him, aren't we!
|
| |
I just don’t get why you have to take a fat shit on things that people like. If you don’t like it, but a lot of other people do, why can’t you just assume that they see something in it that you don’t?
