hahaha I can definitely see that, but Devil is equally man with vagina on some songs. Daisy is the least like that but its also my least favorite, it comes down to the simple fact that the better songwriting is on Devil and Deja. I also cant dig the style they tried on daisy

Yeah thats definitely a valid point, but despite the content of the lyrics and the overall sound, his lyrics are really brilliant on Deja and especially Devil, despite how gay they kinda are. But then again i love sappy emo stuff like this, La Dispute, Touche and its easy to understand why someone would feel like a scenester girl listening too it but theres not denying the lyrics are excellent despite that. Their balls definitely dropped on Daisy, but it was still an inconsistent record that didn't have as much passion as the previous 2, for me.

yeah but his melodies were flat out gay and oo me it just sounds like cliche annoying pop punk with well above average lyrics, they've improved monstrously since that album in every single way

its a fair statement they were just an average kinda annoying, immature 2000's pop punk band on that album, however obviously the lyrics were smarter then most pop punk lyrics usually are, but Jesse was super whiny and gay on it and the band did nothing but play casual, done-before pop punk music. Theres a few awesome songs, and a shit ton of annoying ones.
