DOOM nominated for the best rolled L's

And they wondered how he dealt with stress so well

Wild guess? You could say he stay sedated

Some say buddha'd, some say faded

Someday pray that he will grow a farm barn full

Recent research show it's not so darn harmful

i prefer this to his solo stuff, mostly because the production is amazing. and production is typically my favourite thing about hip hop, not that I don't love a good verse of course.

"MM FOod is better than this i think... its more about the raps less about flashy sound"

uh...wut? admittedly, it's been a while since i've heard it, but i'm pretty sure mm..food has just as much beat/sample breaks as this, if not more. and tell me how the sound of this album could in any way be considered "flashy." that's one of the last words that come to mind when i think about this album.

the production can be rather flashy i find. you can tell Madlib was having a hell of a time getting high and playing around with the beats, lol.

Not that it's a bad thing of course.

sure, there's lots of sounds and samples going on all the time, but they all seem to work perfectly together into one single sound, no single thing ever comes out and screams "listen to me!!".. to me, anyway

okay, yeah, that i agree with, except the last sentence. i don't think you need to listen to this album too much to discern that every song on here is clearly about something(s), and not just an adaptation to its corresponding beat. while the lyrics on mm..food are great, i just don't see how they surpass the lyrics here
