I love the sound of I Am the Wooden Doors. Just when you think this is going to be this mellow folkish album, the song comes in and kicks the metal in your face. A bit out of place but still awesome.
Odal is the best thing here though.

Yea Odal is really good, their instrumentals are great. I personally really like In the Shadow of Our Pale Companion.

All of their first 3 albums could be 5's. This one just misses it for me, but it's not a surprise that so many people think it's their best. Its grown on me so much over the past year.

First 3 of their albums are all classics without a doubt. Marrow doesn't come close to any of them at all.

yea it's funny I finally took a listen, besides Black Lake Nidstang I wasn't very impressed. Doesn't give me the same feeling I get from listening to In the Shadow of Our Pale Companion in it's entirety and wonder how its over already.

They cant keep producing classic albums. They were bound to release a weaker album eventually, and Marrow was it.
