first-wave new-school, right?
but yeah, still too millennial for 'rizz' lol

okay I can definitely get down with the first pairing, then it loses steam dramatically. This comes dangerously close to providing all the worst parts of this vocal style, paired with a weird obsession in thinking endless pseudo-balladry (i.e. leaning on your worst aspects) is a good idea
It's not dead yet, but it is on life support
(had this 2.5d elsewhere, which seems about right for now)

daryl featured on a bring me the horizon song along with lil uzi vert last year

rizz master is correct

define pseudo-balladry before my eyes do another full rotation in their sockets
one of the slow tracks here is their most popular songs and the other is secretly a top 3 track on the album, so imma venture they knew more about what makes a good ballad 20 yrs back than you do today
|

ye Must've Run All Day is fucking beautiful
|
| |
that's my least fav of the three, but still highkey great. biggest grower on the album by some distance

Must've Run All Day is arguably my favorite song on the album alongside Mu Empire.

yes, but this would imply I'm new to this (and wasn't simply revisiting, having never really understood the acclaim). Also lol at evaluating music on the basis of its popularity when it suits your agenda. We do that here now? I lost my memo
|
| |
lol we can evaluate it outside of its popularity but the bottom line is always gonna be that it's striking chords you're missing
>>but this would imply I'm new to this (and wasn't simply revisiting
i don't see how this has any bearing either way

ive long held that 1995's casper could have been a classic had filmmakers omitted the zany(cheesy) uncle specters.
