Pimea was my favorite for a long time but Haaska has really grown on me. Then Jotunheim comes along and, like, idk man they're just all perfect.

4.4 is elite territory. Well deserved.
My revisiting of their discog hit a Neurosis-shaped snag but I've been enjoying their earlier stuff a fair bit, probably more than I remember in some cases and now I'm entirely confused (and excited) about where this will lead.

Moonsorrow is so good, this was my favorite of theirs for years

This album and the rest of their discography imprinted on 13 year old me. Blew my fucking socks off and is probably the biggest factor in extreme metal not being a phase for me.
Over a decade later and it still rips like no other. Bravo Sorvalis

Never get tired of this band after all those years and do not think any other band nails the folk aspect as they do, at least concerning nordic folk. Still think the band name sucks though

Obviously, and they are excused. Still sucks. Brings me visions of depressed werewolfs more than heathens in rage and despair
