I have it rated 2.5 here I think, that’s what I have it down as on RYM

Lost in the World sounds like a remix of an original song that was supposed to be the track to make the album - doesn’t vibe with the rest for me

There’s something David Guetta about it, not my fave

And frankly kanye's lyrics are as bad here as they are on the rest of his discog bar 808s

Well they're not amazing. Song meanings aside, his actual ability to write well written lyrics seriously lacks. I actually still enjoy his first two from time to time but very few of the actual lyrical lines stick

@drifter I'm also the kind of dude who prefers word soup rap like Aesop Rock and Eyedea so that might have something to do with it.

This album is such a fucking banger. Straight-up.

But these 2 things must be said:

1.) Kanye's verse on 'Devil In a New Dress' is much better than Rick Ross'.

2.) Rick Ross (I think, I don't listen to him) also has by far the worst appearance on the album in the track 'Monster'. "As you run through my jungles, all you hear is rumbles. Kanye West samples, here's one for example." Fucking CRINGE. SO SHIT. How can anyone literally have so little pride or ability that they put their name on that...?

Not like we need to relitigate this but I mean, come on, I like ross’ verse on “devil in a new dress” (and it’s much better than kanye’s “Verse” lol) but Nicki Minaj definitely has the best one on this album

The ross part on “monster” is more like an intro, don’t mind it so much

What's dope about it? The fact that it's so boringly delivered? The fact that it barely makes sense from an English language perspective? The fact that it's lazy as fuck? I just hate it so much. Tbh that entire song sucks and brings the album down.

I disagree that it's performed boringly. His deep voice with that effect put oj it makes it pretty intimidating. I really wish he had a proper verse because it's probably the most fitting of the entire song. I think lyrically it does make sense.

"Bitch I'm a monster no good blood sucker. Fat motherfucker now look who's in trouble. As you run through my jungles all you hear is rumbles. Kanye West samples here's one for example."

He's saying when you go through his territory (jungles) all you hear is rumbling cause he's so fat. I really don't see how you think it's lazy. Sorry he's not some Wu Tang flamethrower but that's not the point.

I like Nicki's intro to dark fantasy, really sets the album up, plus its a fun play on a Roald Dahl poem

Rick Ross sucks but that verse on Devil (which Kanye almost certainly wrote for him) is the best on this yeah

I don’t think I’ve ever heard a Ross feature I didn’t like

His own music on the other hand...
