It's just that I been a fan of the band for 20+ years, and to hear one of its most important members, who people generally seem to like, say some uncharacteristically stupid shit, is quite surprising. But as Potts pointed out, he went beyond the border of parody, and straight into unforgivable stupidity. What he said is so bad, it makes me not even want to tell people I like the band.
