drifter you got MM LP2 higher than this, so I'm trying to figure out what makes you such an authority on this genre lmao. glad to see you clearly know so much about my life tho. I definitely know nothing about a genre I've been listening to for my entire life

drifter being slightly over the top but i mean chalking up tupacs critical acclaim to his murder is pretty red hot

the irony here for me is that tupac is kdots biggest influence

I know he always says that but I hear way more Andre 3000 influence in his music than he has ever given credit for.

Like I said, pac was good and clearly very influential. I don't mean to downplay that at all, but death certainly gives artists a sort of notoriety boost regardless of their career, for better or worse. This could be super anecdotal and untrue, but I feel like when an average joe hears the name 2Pac they think of his driveby shooting death before they think of any particular song or album he made. And that, folks, may be my hottest take of the morning so I should just stop there lol

As someone who only knows ab old school rap from word of mouth, I feel like you hear a lot less ab Pac’s Music than the type of person he was and the circumstances of his death. While with biggie he actually gets associated with certain songs like hypnotize and big papa.

An outsider POV might be helpful idk, but take with brick of salt

Uhhh no they think of Cali Love and Dear Mama because those are mega hits everyone knows.

Also chill buttboy lol I said that because you were acting like pac wasn't loved before his death. He was already a superstar before he was killed but obviously his death made him even bigger.

Also also yeah I have MMLP2 rated higher because I love that album and can't stand Kendrick anymore due to his constant mentions everywhere irl and online

so you can't stand an artist because of how often he is talked about online, not because of his music
