They're pretty boring after a while but they're better than most of the cleans

His vox got better after the silent circus
I still think they would benefit from a better harsh vocalist tho

I don't understand how his cleans just got more whiney ever since parallax 1. I mean, they were great on this and Alaska...

Tommy's cleans are very weak on TSC and the last album.
I have no problem with his harsh vocals though.

His harsh vocals were a bit monotonous on Parallax II, that's probably my least favorite part about the album. He was best on this and Alaska

The only issue I have with his cleans on this or alaska is the chorus bit of All Bodies, which are atrocious

I didn't mind the vocals when I first heard this (one of the first harsh vocals albums I'd heard outside of Opeth), but I listened to it again yesterday and ehhhh, it's like he can't decide if he wants to scream or growl and is stuck in some monotonous spot in the middle. At least the music kicks ass.

They need more solos like the one of Selkies

Ehh I think they should stick to short solos like on ants and disease. I like the solo on telos too, good energy

Selkies is their best solo, but I really like the White Walls ending.

It's hard to believe that that's their only emotive solo, or at least the only one i've come across
