Holy fuck, this live version is absolutely amazing and I love how it fits our times now. I’m just sad I’m only finding this video now, lol.

How did Waters go from writing this album to writing The Wall? Night and day quality wise.
|
| |
also why are Wright's keys always so cathartic?

Wish You Were Here is my fav. Still haven’t heard their whole discog though. So much music to check man.

I recommend just trudging through it. A lot of very interesting stuff in that discog.

Def better than The Wall. If any of those are overrated, it's The Wall (still rules though)

Disagree. Floyd fans downplay how genius of a piece of art The Wall is because of their dislike for Roger Waters' actions during after the time of its release.

Wish>Dark Side>Animals>Meddle>The Wall, none below 9/10
I think fans' qualms with The Wall is some of the filler and Roger Water's singing voice. Other than that it's pretty much perfect and has some of their best songs.

I've never followed most of the drama around this band so that isn't it for me. I just find the album somewhat bloated compared to the others and it tones down somewhat on some of what I loved about PF (the spacey, atmospheric moments and Gilmour's crazy, emotional playing)

Yea that too. I appreciate the emotion of the concept and how diverse it is though, but no doubt the qualities of early-mid '70s Floyd is why I love them.
