album is sick. definitely grabbed me more than ohms. also a very top heavy album, falls a bit flat towards the second half

Second half is better, what lol
The run from itayatt to departing the body is insane

Might be their best since diamond eyes

Could've benefitted from a heavy ripper in there somewhere but solid album. Makes Ohms sound like fart noises.

Infinite Source
Cut Hands
Departing the Body
That would be my top three favorite songs off the album so far.
Honorable mention to Locked Club. I love Stef's tone on that one and the chorus is great.

Idk it's good and all but i thought the mix was gonna be KNY like, since Nick was on board again. And that shit sounds kinda muffled imo

As much as i'd like to jump on the hype train, which would be great, i just need some more time with it, no matter how immediate it is. Also the diss on Ohms is kinda crazy. That albums atmosphere was thick and had some more expiramental and, for me, expanding sounds.
Not that sticking to what makes you great is wrong, especially being this band.
What made me is a discography dive again while i continue to give this more spins.
But for now the run from infinite source to Souvenirs and then cXz is crazy good.

Ya any hate for Ohms comes across as forced, it’s a great album just not one of their best… which is an insanely high bar to clear

i don't hate ohms, it just all blends together for me

diamond eyes has by far their best production imo, they should have stuck with that

I thinks Ohms sounded pretty much perfect. The drums were so fuckin crisp sounding… and tbh I think Koi sounds better than Diamond Eyes but I just like that record more in general.

diamond eyes’s production def didn’t stand the test of time idk what you’re talking about

Ohms definitely didn’t sound perfect to me but it is definitely phenomenal and a little underrated at least by the masses. Error is amongst their best songs. The last half of that song is so freaking insane. I could live in it

ecdysis's bass gives me such "hey man, nice shot" vibes.

Much better than Ohms and Gore.
Best song is metal dream

In fact, a lot better than Ohms and Gore (the latter is not that big of an achievement, I guess). And its the best vocal performance from Chino in YEEAAARS.
But I feel like Stephen is not that inspired as I wanted. I wish it had some really cool riffs like Koi no Yokan

i think about you all the time completely kills the momentum for me. but this remains a super strong album after multiple listens. probably knock it up to 4.5 in a bit. the songs i was "meh" on i've come around to (except for track 7).
