nah, its a bit goofy in a bad way. best part of the song is the breakdown. easily among the sickest breakdowns i have ever heard.

Different strokes I guess peeps. Just don't like his voice at all. So I'll rephrase- I personally don't like it but that doesn't make it bad.

@Nikkolae. Oh nice. I was too impatient to wait and I actually listened to those singles a LOT before the album released.

I get why people don't like that feature, but I think the voice is so unhinged and matches the vibe of the song all too well

Yeah, the feature is not awful at all. It in no way ruins or decreases my enjoyment of the song in any way, but I do think it would be a lot better if Carson just did that part himself.

Love the feature, wonder if how much you’re into skramz influences your opinion on that. The guy who did it has popped in here by the way, if anyone didn’t catch that.

Also, on one portion of the vinyl they fucked up and put “Andrew LAST NAME” for the feature. Oof.

Ok so I just went back and checked. Intro from country song in reverse definitely gives similar vibes to Sleep by Godspeed. Anyone else hear this or have I finally lost the plot?

‘The Callous Daoboys are an American mathcore band from Atlanta, Georgia. Their name is a play on words, based on the Dallas Cowboys football team’

Thanks for pointing that out, it really was a conundrum for the ages.

"the i love you bit is def my least fav part of the closer which otherwise is a slam dunk"

it's probably the worst part of the entire album

Worst part of the album for me is the way he sings "altar" and "falter" in Distracted by the Mona Lisa

Otherwise really enjoyed this, wasn't sure they'd get it together after that flop of an EP

Stop EP slander [4]

But yeah, the way he sings "alter" and "falter" certainly is something. Luckily it doesn't bother me

also I agree that "I love you" part in Country Song is the weakest part of the song, but thats literally the only nitpick I have for this entire album.

This is their first album that has really grabbed me. I keep spinning it repeatedly almost like I am trying to see if it has staying power or just had the initial earworm grab that falls off hard with multiple listens. So far I am leaning to the former, but the jury is still out. Such a great variety of songs and definitely find myself changing which song is my favorite as I finish a couple repeats.
