I think for me, this band/album is proof that when you try to sound like everything, you sound like nothing. Even if TMBTE was way longer than it needed to be, it still felt like it had enough ideas to try and forge its own identity (Minus whatever the fuck DYWTYLM was supposed to be). This though has nothing new going for it and fails to address any of the issues TMBTE had. Its not that you can't mix modern day pop and metal together, its more so I don't think these guys are the ones who can do it. I mean, if you want proof that it could be done in the past, have you listened to those first two LP albums?

And the only comment I ever got was from a dude at work who said "that's hardcore bro"
I see way more people comment on the supposed edge factor they believe their metal taste brings than comments made by non-metal fans on the fans themselves
