I would hardly describe BI as dadcore

Yeah they're more popular than your average dm band but that isn't saying much

It's over guys. My dad spends his time in garage woodworking, drinking and listening proggy space dm now.

i do get the backlash somewhat as the album is seemingly loved by people who don't listen to any death metal other than this which is a little annoying but it doesn't mean it isn't good

Albums rips indeed. I dig their other stuff more but yeah this still rules very hard.

I wonder if the "I don't like classical music, but I really like this!" compilation annoys orchestra musicians too

"The Terminal Redux of death metal"

lol, I can see this slightly irritating comparison for plebeian reasons. Well played. And it even has the space aesthetic (even if I enjoy that album, so I'm freely admitting being a basic bitch re thrash here)

I hope any future co-worker encounters in the wild are met with recommendations. If there was any justice in the world co-worker x would at least check out the latest Horrendous which is a) better and b) takes a higher % of its queues / influence from classic DM vs this one's liking of other tangents

It would work as a more seamless progression than any composition here (lolololol... or not, suit yourself)

crude estimates say this is around 3.5x - 4x more popular on my streaming service - so presumably there are co-workers who are yet to make the jump

“What’s a terminal redux”

Album by the band prog/tech thrash band Vektor that was VERY hyped by a lot of of “I don’t like thrash but…” type people. This feels like it’s getting a similar reaction from people that don’t typically enjoy death metal. I don’t really care because I like the album but I don’t think it’s their best work

Imagine using your don't like thrash privilege to hype a thrash album

A little less Pink Floyd, a little more "Vitrification of Blood"
