the only remotely weak track on this album is Syndic Calls imo, and it's still easily at least a 4/5

Sure, none of their later albums reach Oceanic, but they're far from boring. I really love the way Aaron's vocals, as well as Jeff's bass and Aaron's drumming progress during the next few albums.
aarons vocals are always going to be the same plus the drumming being more interesting doesn't distract from the fact that they were either running out of ideas or started to think making boring music was really cool

Your opinion doesn't matter here.
what you just said was basically an opinion and since your opinions matter a lot less than mine (it's a matter of quality) I am forced to ignore it. this album blows

hey, bro, i have a great idea. how about you stop saying stupid shit to me every time you see me post something related to music you like? i swear to god, it's gotten to the point where i post in a Cult of Luna or Neurosis thread and i check the "my discussions" tab every ten minutes, waiting for the inevitable hostile relinquished comment. i mean, it's sort of funny, but at the same time it's really annoying.

Aaron's vocals actually do change-his performance on Wavering Radiant is much more controlled and subtle than on previous albums. I don't think you can call any of their releases boring, but if you were to, The Oceanic Remixes and Reinterpretations disc and the extended version of The Red Sea with the demo tracks would be more appropriate than their later works.

nah, Wavering is their most boring imo. it's still a solid 3.5, but compared to this and Oceanic... it ain't even close.

wyanqueef I wouldn't have to call you out if you would at least post something smart instead of immaturely saying stupid shit like "die" when qwe will obviously post the same things.
and acting like you know everything about post-metal and like you're cool for finding shitty bands on bandcamp
seriously just leave. all the friends you have here are 14-17 years old. high school kids are stupid...oh wait aren't you 18 and a junior? lol

nope, 16.
A: resorting to attacks based on age is one of the weakest and most pathetic arguments i've seen used on the internet.
B: one of the differences between you and me is that while you are an annoying elitist who only shares his music with a select group of people, i am willing and happy to tell people about music that i enjoy in hopes that they get the same experience. i understand why this may come off as "acting like [I] know everything about post-metal" or "[acting] like [I'm] cool for finding shitty bands on bandcamp" to someone like yourself, but still.
C: "immaturely saying stupid shit like "die"" - now, am i supposed to believe that this is anymore immature than, for example, "wyanqueef" or "shut up" or "high schooler lol?"

don't get me wrong I'll share my music but I won't waste my time I know there won't be a chance that they'll understand it in time.
I'm not like this in real life, only in here, but every time I'm only "trolling" you and then you react like this. Do you really think I actually give a shit?
rhetorical

Neurisis also edited his original comment. it was, at first, the exceedingly intelligent remark, "oh shit burn."
and yes, he did.
