That's why Mezmerize and Hypnotize are easily my least favorite SOAD albums. They feel much more like Daron solo projects than actual band efforts, and Daron himself gets super annoying after a while on both records

havent heard this in years and never thought it was particularly remarkable. always liked it but didnt gravitate to it like i did their others
threw system on shuffle for about an hour earlier and it played like 6 songs from this and with each one i was like damn! this shit is fire! couldnt appreciate it when i was younger i suppose

The synergy between Daron and Serj's voices is fantastic. Daron's voice on his own is fine unless he goes to those whiny high-pitched places, but he is no lead singer for sure. 80% Serj, 20% Daron is the best combo imo, 70-30 at most.
