The only part that really stands out that I dislike it’s the garish synths during the solo on Easier.
I literally can’t think of a single other thing I dislike about this record.

Someone's reimagining these songs in the City of Evil style. Hmm. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oyWls0xkCyg

Yeah...sad but true. Jericho had the advantage of ingratiating himself in Shadows world by being a celebrity beforehand but their friendship did hold true. The thing i like most about jericho is his real life persona being able to handle real life conversation with eloquence and physical violence only when called for but his actual opinions are probably fucked up, trumpian. His wife would 100% have gone to jail for a period if she wasnt a canadian citizen. His wife showed up and was one of the ones on that pence trump biden riot bullshit.

God I hope not.
The review summary for this is hilariously overselling it, I’ve gotta say. Makes it sound like this is unrecognizable from old A7X and it really isn’t lol. The songwriting is for sure miles better than anything they’ve done in well over a decade, but I’m not hearing this career defining masterpiece you guys are talking about. Kind of feel the same way about this that I did The Killer’s Pressure Machine, where I think it’s comfortably one of the best things the band has done but feel like everyone is overhyping it because it was actually a competent and enjoyable release in a long line of dogshit releases. Idk, maybe it’ll grow more. It’s certainly pretty fun, but my mind isn’t blown

i never really listened to 'the stage' but after the rev passed away and they put out 'hail to the king' I kinda assumed the part that made them weird and interesting was gone
this is right up my alley though, and i saw shadows say in a interview that the rev would've been stoked for this album and i have to believe he would've

definitely check out the stage, it’s like they knew they fucked up with HttK and went in the complete opposite direction to make up for it.
I’d go so far to say that this is the next logical step after the stage honestly

I was a collector back in the day and took the hail to the king ep to a renowned cheap shop and they raved about th "rare" ep and gave me the option of $10 cash or $17.50 t trade in value. Took the cash and marveled about society.
