I dont think its that crazy tbf. Way different goals in what they want to achieve sound wise. Martyr is still more abstract and experimental over something like this and probably more "iconic" in a way but in terms of a solid good listen this goes down way smoother.

But ya I’d agree that overall Chariot is his best project… but how much of the music did he write? I was under the impression that he was just vox, where with ‘68 it’s real clear that he writes pretty much everything

It legit is one of the best rock records of the last decade or so imo, it’s honestly a shame it didn’t get more attention. I’d say In Humor And Sadness is still pretty damn good too, everything that followed… eh there’s some good songs on all of them but they’ve all been disappointing to me.



It is what it is, but when you make a record as good as that, you’re in my good graces for life. Such an amazing album.
