Album Rating: 3.0
I don't usually bother with singles but I am intrigued as to whether I should be expecting a departure from this (hopefully so because this band were on fire beforehand).
Four at this stage seems excessive either way

I bet it slays as hard as Alphaville based on the singles. Gonna check it out tomorrow hopefully.

My buddy saw them a day or two ago and said they were amazing, along with Mayhem and Mortiis. He got that cool FromSoft inspired long sleeve. Stoked to hear Goldstar soon! Anyone watch the making of vid? It’s the last recording of Colin Marstons studio

Goldstar sounds like a satisfying progression from Alphaville (not this, lol)
Quirkier / more "oddball" than Spirit (and this is a good thing). Each track was fairly distinct for an initial spin, yet the textures knitted things together well. I like the production for sure
In fact it might be their most immediate thus far, so it'll be interesting to see how it hits when the dust has settled

Really liked it. I don't think it's that disconnected from this one, less sax that's for sure.

not disconnected, I just preferred the idiosyncratic tangents on Alpha and it appears as though they dipped into that a little more on Goldstar. This felt more blended together as one giant slab on skronk. Now, you can argue that's a good thing for "cohesion" (I imagine you might based on that rating), but even tho that's undoubtedly true I nevertheless felt something was missing

Nah Demon the rating is based on how much I dug it at the time lol, didn't think further than that.
I like your argument, definitely sounds smarter than mine, so I'll give you this one.
