Kinda but also not really, it has some faster guitar work with the 16th notes and stuff but the rhythm is basically a half time groove so it ends up not being much faster than the rest of the album

Armies does feel pretty damn fast to me. Abysmal Eye is also not exactly a slow song. I dunno dude, I actually think this is pretty varied for a Meshuggah release with the return of the weird mechanical spoken vocals, different ways they get that groove sound, etc.

Abysmal Eye is one of the best here probs, really like the part halfway through where the rhythm changes and Haake starts going nuts. But at best I’d say that track is mid-tempo
Yea and for whatever reason I like Catch33 more even though it’s generally a slower record, I’ll see if I can put it into words later lol
