Alright, for a few years now I’ve been describing this album just literally “if imagine dragons didn’t suck”
I only know their singles, but based on that I feel like that’s accurate. Thoughts?
I’m really trying to get more people into this band lol

you can help people get into this band by making them listen to literally any of their other albums

yeah if anything im kinda doing the opposite and telling people to ignore this one entirely sans its few highlights or hit it last depending on their tastes lol

I get why people don't like this one, but I think it's one of their catchiest albums. I know that's not a measure of art, but I enjoy it.

I mean it’s literally a pop album so I feel like it’s a good entry point for people that aren’t huge into music like we are

Go Down Together is such a great song
The “It’s not enough that you’re wrestling yourself, but your friends talk shit while you’re going through hell” line should be fucking iconic, I love the lyrics to that song

You’re totally right about that sowing, that and Speak With the Dead. But the rest of it?
I mean, to me at least, it’s just guitar driven pop music imo

Oh it's definitely pop *for them*. I even called it pop in my review summary lmao. I'm just playing devil's advocate.

And of course 737 and Speak With the Dead are the favorites around here lol
I love the whole record obviously but 737 is just such an incredible opener. I could go on for days about that track.

Yeah they’re the favourites for good reason. The only other songs I really enjoy after multiple plays are Bialystok and Beacons

i forget its name but the song before the closer is pretty good. id swap that and bialystock in that list since that might be my least fav here lmao

@Gyro do you like "If I Believed In Love"? To me, that's part of the big three to take away from this album along with 737 and Speak With The Dead. It's such a banger and I love how the entire second half of the song is basically just shouting/screaming.

Not to try and sound too harsh but you’re fucking brain dead if you don’t like If Believed in Love

Sowing: we def agree on the bookends but my third favourite is easily Bialystok. Idk why but there’s this almost like nostalgic element to it, for me. Just something about the atmosphere and general vibe of it. I’m not that keen on If I Believed In Love, particularly the vocal delivery. I get why other people dig it but it kind of grates on me

Sowing, I don’t wanna get you in trouble or something so if you like, feel uncomfortable about it just tell me to fuck off, but when does the review drop?
You saying that it’s the best foxing record (I think? Maybe I’m misremembering) has me very intrigued considering that I think we have pretty similar taste when it comes to this band and Smidley
