oh I get it, cause the album is called Im Wald, so you're saying that's you, Wald, and that's the joke

lol, in Australia they had Where's Wally. Just actually did a quick goo gull and it turns out only North America had Where's Waldo, everywhere else was Where's Wally.. I don't think they'd get Waldo.

this album is so good. I totally understand minding the length, which (minding) I see as probably an extension of wanting to think of it (and therefore listen to it?) as a whole unit, but I dont really mind dropping in two thirds of the way through etc. as long as I've at some point hit all of it. That's honestly how I do most really long music. I wouldn't have gotten around to loving Morton Feldman's quartet 2 had I spent my time gearing up for all 6 hours. I'd be interested to hear other people's thoughts on this I guess

I'll definitely have to give it -one- full listen but that might be in a while lol

as with other paysages my only "complaint" (which probably flies in the face of what wintherr wants to accomplish anyhow) is that I wish there were a bit more variety in terms of the keys the songs are in. I mean black metal eschews a lot of the stuff that we as listeners use to establish a "key" but I feel like 90% of paysage is the same couple chords and it is excelente no doubt but I think I could 5 this with a song or two that feel just a bit different. not major key "happy" stuff or anything but just like, "Oh, a song in F minor instead of C minor, this shakes in a bit of variety" idk hard to explain. then again that might/probably would ruin the immersion

they're still taking submissions. I just sent in a piece of poetry because I'm a cringey black metal nerd.

I think we'd have a hint after like 22 years. My piece was just accepted (apparently they like Dzo) so my die is cast one way or the other.

Guys this album makes my body feel colder. Perfect on a searing hot day like today

I'm starting to realize I like most black metal the way I like most shoegaze - the ~atmospheric wall of sound~
