actually my third grade class was pretty hip, had some heavy metal fans, some of my friends had older bros. Like I taped Bark at the moon from vinyl to tape, one half day of school, and listened to Dio, and VH, IM and BS. but you know it was the mid eighties, everybody dug MJ Thriller and Purple rain and stuff like that too. It wasn't till like 87 that I heard Metallica, which I thought was crazy

yes the first I heard was Puppets, my youngest uncle made me a copy, right when it came out and then a few weeks later, got Kill' em all, at teh little record store in town, back when they were still pretty underground, in the midwest anyway
