In concept, the idea of an 80's synthwave Muse album sounds pretty interesting. But this ain't it. If someone told me that this was a Matt Bellamy solo project I'd genuinely believe them. Instrumentally this could've been written by any artist, apart from maybe Pressure and Blockades.

Personally, this is the first (and only) album Muse have seriously dropped the ball on. The Resistance & Drones were semi-decent and the 2nd Law was average, but this is terrible.

Damn I actually can’t believe this has the lowest rating of all their albums. It has some pretty damn good tracks, just inconsistent. This is far better than The 2nd Law and WOTP imo, also better than The Resistance.
