New PUP record got me on a huge pop-punk kick, and this is really phenomenal. Excellent blend of melody and legitimately strong songcraft; awesome summer vibes here.

Pop-punk was my first love, but I've admittedly been distracted by indie-folk for roughly 15 years. It's always good to be home again.

Oddly enough, I never checked these guys out despite enjoying similar bands like Wonder Years. Would this be a good album to start with?

I think so. Of course, it's the only album by this band that I've heard ;-)

I need to get into The Wonder Years. I still love Sister Cities but I could never buy the hype about the rest of their discography

I'm trying to get into more pop-punk these days... I dismissed so many bands when I was younger because the genre wasn't my cup of tea back then, but I eventually realized how much I was missing out on. I guess that's what happens when I hang out with a prog/metal crowd in high school, lol

As far as The Wonder Years go, The Greatest Generation is still my favorite. Wonderful mix of aggression, catchiness, and surprisingly thought-provoking lyrics

Sowing check out The Finer Things by State Champs!

Yeah lotta fun stuff in this genre, these guys are my favorite as far as pop punk goes. TWY kinda fell off for me after The Greatest Generation, but that album and the ones preceding it are amazing.

jay I'm sorry but no, state champs is poo poo. That album is their most acceptable but they're just so glossy and poppy. I officially turned in my fan card when they started selling fidget spinners

yeah but the sad thing is that I'm sure the fidget spinners sold well.....because the average state champs fan is 17 years old

Oh yeah they're lame as hell now, but that album in particular is full of jams. Only one by them worth listening to.

lmaooo true butt. The name alone is enough of a turnoff but trust me songs like Nothing's Wrong and Hard to Please are sweet.
