Connecting with this album a lot right now, might be the personal moment + also their recent performance I attended in June was so intense and connecting, bumping rating

Yeah those 2 things seem to have a massive pull with Amenra. I'd listened to them for about 10 years before I finally went through some bad shit and then it reallllly hit me

Yeah not even that bad for me tbh, just some annoying stuff, but god they were fucking amazing live. I had seen them about 4-5 years ago and I don't remember it being so intense. And this time it was open air which shouldn't be that intense, but still hit like at truck

Emotions and depression are kicking my arse at the moment (this year in general tbh). This was my first Amenra album and it led me down the rabbit hole of finding this band. Its hard to explain without being cringey how this band has helped me and take me to a place where it its all not so scary or overwhelming. De Doorn was good but I hope we return to Mass soon when the time is ready. Amenra is a band i never want to rush due to the sheer emotional weight. They are the greatest band and live experience ive ever had, not much has or will compare to Amenra live for me.

I loved de doorn with time. De Evenmens is a monolith and worked so well live

Ill have to wait and cross my everything for a long time before they come back to Aus. They didnt play A Solitary Reign when i saw them which was a bummer but Diake Collin cried i think. A Solitary Reign may be prettier and more of an ear worm in a way but Diaken is so much more devastating for me

Solitary reign was when it all changed. Thats their 'hit' was noticeable how much the crowds changed. There was goth girls doing pole dancing to it on fking tic toc. I hate it, I hate de evermaans too because it's almost SR 2.0 I don't like those high crescendo chorus' colins vox where always best when they were more fragile and venerable.

Edit I don't hate it of course I just think they're massively overrated in their catalogue. They're ok songs Diaken> SR by a huge distance

Id actually say that Reign(while I love it) is the weakest track on here

Strap in for emotional devastation. De doorn is probably their weakest record. Mass 4 or 5 is the peak. This is amazing as well, but im a massive fanboy of this band

Every album hits but this is just perfect start to finish. Highly considering flying out to one of their US shows in May with Primitive Man
