Lol, OK. It's just an obvious observation, I clearly fall into that category of nitpickyness as well - just not here.

A few tracks are similar to Irony, but as a whole I just get a similar feel to OP.

It's all context. Pots is right that the best albums have everything, the music, the production, the sequencing, the lyrics, song titles, artwork, everything comes together. But honestly most albums don't accomplish that and depending on the band/album/genre, I don't think it's a big deal to overlook whatever part doesn't add value if the rest mostly makes up for it. DEP are not a band I've expected profound lyrics or particularly evocative song titles from.
|
| |
well you should because they used to have awesome lyrics and awesome song titles so i dont know what ur talking about
|
| |
the song titles on Ire Works were fucking perf and totally added to the albums aesthetic hard
|
| |
Honeysuckle is great too, this album has shaped up immensely after Fugue ended

Why can't they make a whole album of songs that don't have three minutes of jank surrounding the minute and a half of stuff that vibes
This band can do an atmosphere as well as most any, why do they shoot themselves in the foot >_>
