"The next album should sound more like KILL."
I wouldn't complain. Kill is hands down my top CC album and honestly one of my favourite dm's in general. Christ does that album riff HARD.

I prefer this one or Torture, but yeah KILL rules. It's straightforward CC.

Tbh this and Kill are two of my favorites below Tomb but that's mostly for nostalgia

The Bleeding > Vile > Skeletal Domain > Tomb > Kill
Top 5 CC a mix of modern and old school. Band is way more consistent than people give them credit for.

Will ‘Kill or Become’ ever get old?
No, no is the obvious answer.

Yah I dig it, but it's Barnes when he's not doing his super deep gutteral growls and more Six Feet Under esque style, it's also when the band was complaining that he wasn't fast enough to keep up with their style and it's a lot muddier than all their other work. I like it because it feels like a dirty, gross album with some of the most fucked up lyrics I've read, but it still feels like an odd choice for a fan favorite.

Barnes' vocals aren't the big selling point, it's the generally slightly more twisted sound to a lot of the music, like the clearer focus on more complex time signatures and dissonant riffs. It's just a bit more developed than Tomb or Butchered. Vile is good too but I think it's less consistent. As for the other Corpsegrinder albums I think Bloodthirst is the best by a little bit.

He's great on Bloodthirst but I actually think he's even better on here and on Kill
