I am a guitar player and I said that he's talented AND creative as in both, not just talented like you're saying. I don't know if you've noticed this but all solos that don't sound like shit are based in scales, so what the hell do you want?

Also watch this vid, he talks a lot about his songwriting process and how much work and creativity goes into what he does (especially compared to 90% of what other bands are doing)

Oi! Instrumental guitar driven music cannot be this safe or it becomes very dull. I find this dull. Give me a PRS 6 string fretted by C. Santana screaming to the top of its lungs, or something by Jeff Beck. That sir is creative.

Well Beck and Santana are completely different so at that point it's pretty much a matter of taste. This is essentially Periphery without singing (and way better music imo)

Wrong, in the case of Santana who invented progressive guitar rock. You might call this djent, or progressive metal but it progresses nowhere in particular.

"Look, any listener who plays guitar cannot possibly be pleased with the guitar licks on this album. Bland, unmemorable scales and terrible tones."

Lolwut? Sput userbase gets worse every year.

Explain yourself! I know the past works of Tosin. This effort is bland. "Sitar Hero" you sound like a poser. Your breadth of guitar knowledge encompasses that of your eponymous screen name! A PS3 guitar hero.

I was excited to listen to this... Til I found out it this band was instrumental :/

Not that I mind instrumental music, I love it sometimes but when you're in this kinda genre, I expect something like The
Contortionist, BTBAM, Cynic, Wolves in the Throne Room, etc. I want crazy vocals and pretty moments. This is why I'm not
much of a Scale the Summit
fan. *sigh*
