I'm just pretty sure when you give a 5 it says "classic" and not "perfect". At least, that's the way it was the last time I checked.

I don't like the term "classic" because it implies objectivity

I call my 5s "favorites"

If somebody would ask about my favorite albums, it would be those that come to my mind

Well just cause it's a 5 doesn't mean it's "perfect". But it is a classic absolutely!

lmao

I tried arguing that the mods should change the term "Classic" to "Perfect" because perfect implies the quality of the album like every other term on the ranking system, whereas classic refers to the status of the album, but Dev shot that down pretty quickly.

An example I'd pose is that Scream Bloody Gore is definitely a classic but is it perfect?

almost everyone just uses 5.0 to signify their favorites, the tags that go along with the ratings (5.0=classic, 4.5=superb) are kind of irrelevant

I think that's why he shot it down ha, because while the effort to change something like that would take up about 0.5% of his time, the importance of the request / suggestion was significantly smaller

Holy shit, Hallelujah just hit me harder than normal. The first chord change was like a punch to the tear glands.

Hallelujah and Lover, You Should've Come Over, definitely the two best on here.

All great, but I'm not too fond of the first half on the whole. Doesn't really draw me in. I'd add Dream Brother to my top 3. Amazing closer.

perfect doesn't necessarily mean it's impressive tho

the rating tags are definitely unnecessary though... they make things confusing when somebody isn't rating the same way as the majority

you're still rating that way SoccerRiot :p

@ovdeath

Music is not math, something can be "flawless" and still not blow me away, for example an album that is overall solid with no bad songs but it's also nothing spectacular

I guess we're using two different definition of the same word then, if you take it by your angle then yes, perfect and impressive are indeed equivalent

Awesome vocalist that went away too fast, but not the best.
