The worst part of High Hopes is when Gilmour sings "the endless river" and it reminds you of the banality that was to follow
Like RIP Rick Wright, he was great and all, but seriously that album should not exist and this is the proper end for all things Floyd

With this album, I noticed the talent of Gilmour to make me cry like a baby.

I've actually started to appreciate this a lot more recently. It might have something so do with the three for one beige pullovers I've bought to match my corduroy slacks. I feel great, comfortable with who I am. I might treat myself to some moccasins, it'll give me an excuse to take the old girl out and by that I mean the 1992 Grenada Ghia. Vroom Vroom. She's a beast!!!

I think I used to hate the album mainly because of Gilmour's wife involment in the album as a lyricist.
|

ya i also hate when girls try to make music

Anyone knows that you don't let a bird interfere in a rock n roll band. It's rule number one dudes.

I mean how bad can be Gilmour writing lyrics? yeah he's not Roger Waters, but hey, everyone has their own point of view about poetry.
|

Can't remember who I was talking to about this but when it comes to 'poets' in music there's Dylan and not a lot else.
