Tom hardy was awesome as bane but bane himself was kinda boring.

Are you kidding bane had most of the best lines in that movie

Tom Hardy definitely is awesome and Bane might have had some memorable lines (You simply adopted the darkness...) but I don't think that made him a particularly interesting villain, and I'm not really sure what sort of ideology he's supposed to represent in contrast to Batman's. He's just supposed to be like fear and brute power or something, idk

That was a tense episode. Shit's going down now!
|
| |
Aww yea things are finally starting to happen! Can I just say that the Varriack scenes made my laugh so hard lol "Hold your breath!" "No I'm not holding my breath..." "Great now we're both gonna die!!"
Also finally some solid action.

So that new episoe... Zhu Li turned on Varriack...
Korra might be siding with Kuvira, WHAT?

That ending was intense, I have a feeling some shit is going down next episode
|
| |
"Korra might be siding with Kuvira, WHAT?"
Oh please we all know that those two are going to duke it out in the end.
|
| |
Still, it was interesting to see her side with Kuvira, even if only for a moment.
|
| |
Yea once Korra REALLY sees how much of a tyrant Kuvira is Korra will murder her haha
|
| |
Korra went for the same route as Hiccup in How to Train Your Dragon 2. Gee, let's see how that holds up XP

Great episode. A lot better than last week's imo.
And yeah Varrick and Zhu Li were great, I really think Zhu Li is pretending to be betray Varrick though

I really think Zhu Li is pretending to be betray Varrick though [2]

Zhu Li seems like she could go either way, maybe leaning more on still on Varrick's side but it's hard to tell. Can't wait until next week

Really? I thought the episode was pretty much filler. Nothing interesting happened that I had not predicted.
|

"I thought the episode was pretty much filler."
How is Bolin and Varrick realizing that Kuvira is a power hungry dictator, filler?
Or Korra actually talking to Kuvira for the first time in season 4...
|
| |
There was some genuine comedy here too

| |
Varrik is a guy who you just can't not love

"Really? I thought the episode was pretty much filler. Nothing interesting happened that I had not predicted. "
1) just because you predicted something doesn't make it filler
2) saying you predicted something is obvious confirmation bias. all the predictions you didn't make, all the incorrect predictions you did make you're not thinking about. the predictions you were casually suggesting but wouldn't put money on you probably count as "predicted."
3) i highly doubt you expect Su to go full Korra and sneak attack Kuvira (what a stupid plan, by the way)
4) filler is not uninteresting. filler is something that doesn't move the plot forward, e.g. 'The Original Airbenders' from last season. filler is often crucial for character development (e.g. A:TLA) or thematic exposition (e.g. 'The Original Airbenders')
You're free to have disliked the episode but that was a stupid comment.

"How is Bolin and Varrick realizing that Kuvira is a power hungry dictator, filler?"
Shocker.
And the talk between Korra and Kuvira was so uninteresting.
"1) just because you predicted something doesn't make it filler"
Never said it did.
"2) saying you predicted something is obvious confirmation bias. all the predictions you didn't make, all the incorrect predictions you did make you're not thinking about. the predictions you were casually suggesting but wouldn't put money on you probably count as "predicted."
Ok I wasn't really being a philosopher when I said that damn. Does it matter?
"3) i highly doubt you expect Su to go full Korra and sneak attack Kuvira (what a stupid plan, by the way)"
Wasn't a shock. But then again, they didn't show any of it this episode anyway so there was no excitement there.
"4) filler is not uninteresting. filler is something that doesn't move the plot forward, e.g. 'The Original Airbenders' from last season. filler is often crucial for character development (e.g. A:TLA) or thematic exposition (e.g. 'The Original Airbenders')"
Agreed. But this was uninteresting AND filler.
What character development happened? Su is vicious? Kuvira is awful? Again, shocker.
The best part of the episode was Zhu Li
I'm guessing she was tricking Kuvira at the end
