It's actually not Aeris' Theme in the interlude, it's Aria di Mezzo Carattere from Final Fantasy VI (the opera scene theme)
and funny you should say that, because this was actually heavily influenced by me playing through Final Fantasy VI during most of the album's production
you can also see it's influence with the use of the motive from the opening of Catastrophe used in Quickening
